We appreciate your patronage and hope you return to visit us often. We want you to have a great meal in a comfortable environment served by our friendly and knowledgeable staff. I am not sure if we will return in the future but the staff needs to work on their hospitality, timing and placement of food order and service.* Please Call for Group Reservations Larger than 6* Our mission is to treat our customers as if they were guests in our homes. Overall, it was not a welcoming experience and I have had better food with more flavor and variety for the price at other restaurants. We were never asked if we wanted dessert. When my fiancé asked if our food was ready the waiter just replied “ I put the orders in at the same time”. Our soup and salad came out timely, minus my fiancé’s dressing on the side -but then we watched two other tables of four get served before the two of us and they came in 5-10 min after us. The waiter was very stand off-ish as it felt like he was just going through the motions, not personable or welcoming.

Just a flat affect and walked us to the booth. not even a congratulations, she just looked at us which was awkward. My MIL also just happened to be dining there and greeted us in the lobby with hugs and congratulations and explained to the hostess that “ We just got engaged”! The hostess had no response. My fiancé and I came here just after getting engaged. I'm remembering this spot for future travel lunches. So inconclusion, here we have a comfortable restaurant with a menu that ranges from routine to inventive, servers who get trained, and prices that match.
#POLARIS GRILL CRACKED#
Warning-there are jalapeno slices hiding amoung the rings.Aztek chowder was good, but the Azteks didn't have chickens or potatoes which were the main ingredient-the large trotillla chip that comes on top is best cracked into croutons and added to the bowl. Her plate wound up being quite generous, piled his with fries (I tried one-a little soft) The calimari was lightly sauced with a sweet-sour and there was a dipping sauce similar to tartar that made them tastier-a teeny bit overdone like calimari is so often-and if you get it, I recommend finishing fast before it cools. So eventually I settled on a crispy calimari appetizer and a bowl of their Aztek chowder-paired with a LaBatt's Blue My wife got their walleye sandwich. Minutes later, I was asked again by a server who was, I think, being trained by another who was following him around. and asked for drink orders-which I had to postpone because I like to read the menu first and figure out whqt drink goes with my food. We were seated promptly in their generously sized dining room. Google Maps provided this spot, and it was delightful.

Lunch time was approaching as we travelled through the last leg of our trip, and I wanted someplace that isn't a chain.
